For this year’s edition, we wanted to highlight the dynamism of the festival, focusing on the diversity of the events: the explosive battles, the collaborative practices in between dancers and their relationship with music.
We imagined a poster with three dancers, dancing sometimes together, sometimes alone. We used collage techniques, repeating some parts of the pictures to amplify movements. Choosing different camera angles, we applied rhythm, repetitions and musicality to the composition.

The 2021’s edition was uncertain and transformed into a full digital edition, half-way through its organisation. Video materials became even more important and central elements of the communication. We developped a series of teasers that were showcased in the public transport of Geneva, TPG.

Digital assets
Visuals for Facebook, Youtube and Instagram were the main mean of communication as the audience was widely using social media in a time of global pandemic. We created a SM strategy to reveal the poster, events and last-minute changes in the program, as well as an extensive series of graphics, as many events were livestreamed on Youtube and Instagram.
The website became the place where the festival itself was happening. We programmed a “livestream” tab to reach live events happening through Zoom, Youtube, Vimeo or Facebook. We also added an automatic timer that was informing the public on following events.

The Festival
This digital edition challenged our perception of design. For example, as dancers were giving live classes, we had to think of background banners and Roll-ups big enough to be seen on small screens. We were also creating additional visuals as the festival was happening, to be able to better respond to the changes and the context.
