Visual system
The programme is conceived as a springboard for further knowledge exchange and production, gathering multiple perspectives. It unravels over several sessions happening in Marseille and Cape Town over the summer 2021, and online on bruisemagazine.com.
The logo was imagined to be a playful connection between each of the events, places and artists. The double “m” –handwritten– starts a line crossing over points that gravitate around. Each session has its own unique variation of the logo, declined in digital assets and animations, both in French and English.

Session 1 – June 3rd, Mucem(FR) – Contemplations on cultural formations, resilience, resistance and ways of being together.
For the first session, Ziphozenkosi Dayile and Flora Fettah gathered artists and performers to look at collaborative and participatory models which artists employ to make space for critical dialogue on the future of our society.
This day explored ways of gathering and spending time together, attending poetic coincidences and thinking collectively about how to redefine our own idea of what it is to be in solidarity with others and of building communities.
