Elsa & Johanna

Web design and programming for the french artist duo Elsa and Johanna. The photographers have been working together since 2014, directing personal, editorial and commercial projects.

Homepage

The homepage opens with an automated animation of the artists’ logo. Follows a series of photographs. Each image is clickable and zoomable to allow high resolution on every screen.

Elsa & Johanna’s work is divided into their artistic practice and their commissioned projects. For each category, they work with photos and videos.

We designed a fully responsive menu. The head image changes depending on the screen resolution to better adapt to each device. The video also adapts to each screen size, sometimes dividing the screen horizontally, sometimes vertically.

The photo gallery uses a script so that when the mouse goes over the title list on the left side of the screen, the corresponding photos are showing on the ride side.

To draw a line between the photographic work and the video work we designed the website in two colors: beige and black.
